I've gotten mixed messages on the movie: Blair Witch Project. I it real or fictional!? I don't know!! Someone please help! Thanks in advance!Is the Blair Witch Project real/true?

I've got it on DVD- fantastic isn't it?





The build up to the release of the DVD was EPIC. It was potrayed by the media and adverts as a real life event. Actors/directors/producers names were never released.





The way in which it is shot (as you know) is all via a hand-held camera - again making it very believable.





However, unfortunately, to village/town in which it is set is fake, and the whole thing was a figment of a very clever writers imagination.





I do see where you are coming from though, it does seem real doesn't it?





Blair witch project 2 is coming out soon...can't wait!

Hello, I heard the same thing as Kel. they are a bunch of students who came out with the idea of making money for their college and so they filmed the movie. Sorry that's all I've heard about this movie in over all.
The blair witch project is real. The film is not the real thing though. The real film has not been seen by anyone else but the police and those kids parents.
Totally fake. Made up.





It was a pretty good low-budget amateur movie that had a lousy ending.
No - it's complete fiction. It was filmed in Maryland by a group of college students who made it all up. There's not even a legend that the story could be based on.....all false.
No, it was fiction and the way it was filmed was just a way to get out of having a huge budget.
