I've been projecting regularly for decades and find it just doesn't work that way. Your body simply isn't left empty and unguarded - just as you temporarily have the use of two bodies, you also have two simultaneous sets of consciousness available, one airborne, the other grounded in your body, leaving ghosts out of luck. When there's a cold spot that means the ghost is absorbing energy.
here's an explanation for ghost.
energy=power.
When a ghost has enough power they can posses you.
Astral projection may be different.
Your astral body may be back inside the body before the ghost gets to you.
Threats around you may cause this.
But it depends on the ghost's power.
If they had real power that is like extreme and by that i mean the power to posses and harm you then they may be able to take over your body during astral projection.
But what depends is if there's a ghost around.
BUT if your mind is open to the spirit world then ghost may enter.
A safe thing to do is just concetrate on a force field around your body that keeps ghost from harming you.
Concentrate hard enough and it will happen.
