If the blair witch project isnt true where is the proof?

i know its a little late like way late to be asking this question but. i believe its just a movie but still. im one of those people who need all the proof i can get. i just dont get it everyone is saying its not real. then wheres the proof that its not real its either real or not real. you cant have a truth behind the story.

i found a answer that said ';the blair witch project is fake but the back story about the witch is real. but not quite as scary.';

anyways i watched this movie when i was like 10 or 11 back in 1999. so yea im just now starting to have questions because i only watched it like once or twice that was about it.If the blair witch project isnt true where is the proof?
The movie isn't true. It says its a true story jsut to scare the audience and to attract more audience. It is, i believe, based off of a group of students who were lost in the woods, but The actual film in the movie is fake: all acting.If the blair witch project isnt true where is the proof?
Well, I did a lot of research, trying to find out what was going on with the movie when it first came out. I'd heard it was real, and chose to start looking into it. From what I could gather, Elly Kedward was a real person who was tried and convicted of being a witch for her obsession with drawing the blood of children. She was banished from her village in the late 1700's, and froze to death that winter...which supposedly brought havoc to the village for years to come. Now...some of the research said it was just a myth, some said the legend was true...but it's hard to tell because of the fact that the naysayers may just be trying to protect their town. After the movie was released, tons of people tried to go into the woods where the movie was filmed...and basically did a lot of damage.

I'm guessing there has to be at least a seed of truth in the movie because of the fact that the movie came out. True, a lot of completely fictional movies like this come out every year, but truth be told, there is usually at least a grain of truth to all legends such as this.

I posted the site I just found it from most recently. The site I originally got the information from is no longer working, but this is basically the same information.
If you watch the credits at the end, it says it is a work of fiction and any resemblance with anyone living and real is purely coincidence. To me that says not a true story.
The actors were on almost all talk shows after the movie came out (I saw them on Jay Leno). I personally think the producers got the idea from a fraudulent 19th diary (can't find a site for the diary but it was mentioned on one of the shows about the Blair Witch movie).

The movie's just a movie...there is no truth behind the story.
the story is based from the 1600s alot of Innocent people were kill back then because they were amused of witchery it was a scary time but the Blair witch project was just a case that was remembered about a mother and her daughter who were executed because of these pretenses.
Proof it's not true : the three actors all appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno after the movie came out.

When they talk about the ';back story,'; they're referring to the story the trio talk about before heading into the woods. In Kentucky or Tennessee (I forget which), there was an occurence referred to as the Bell Witch. Strange things occurred to this family,poltergeist like behavior, documented by many individuals, that then suddenly stopped.
THE PROOF IS THERE IN THE DVD, THEY HAVE BEHIND SCENES IN THERE LOL !!!
If the CLOVERFIELD project isnt true where is the proof?
