no. it was a mock documentary made to look real, although it really did take place (the movie filming) in burkittsville, maryland and parts of seneca creek park
which sadly is about a good hour from my house(burkittsville). i live in germantownWas the ';Blair Witch Project'; a true story?
It took place a half an hour away from where I'm from in Frederick, MD. And from everything i've heard it's completely fake.
The Bell witch was her real name, just hollywood changed her name.
