Of course not. By the time the movie came out, the makers admitted that it was pure fiction. But the clever marketing campaign had implied it was true, and many people didn't get the word that it wasn't before they saw the film. If you went in knowing it was fiction, as I did, you spent your time in the theater being incredibly bored.Is the blair witch project true?
