S300 is similar to a 5.5 or 6.0 Rifle. The main thing about Rifle shafts is that they are frequency matched. Regular steel shafts (like the S300) are slightly stiffer the shorter they are, meaning the PW is stiffer than the 3-Iron. However, b/c Rifle shafts are frequency matched, the flex is identical throughout. So, the PW with a Rilfe shaft is exactly the same as a 3-Iron with a Rifle shaft. a project x 5.0 is regular
a project x 5.5 is firm
a project x 6.0 is stiff
however, because of the flex difference the s300 is about a 5.7 on project x terms, so depends on your swing speed, visit the royal precision website and there is a swing speed/ 6 iron distance/ shaft flex table
