|Nope. The movie was false. It is actually based or somewhat influenced by the Bell Witch legend which is an old legend that was set back in 1785. Directors incorporated that part of the legend, along with allusions to the Salem Witch Trials and The Crucible, to play on the themes of injustice done on those who were called witches.


But, the actual movie is a fake. The producers even had some of the cast members filed as missing or dead.Is the blair witch project true?or not?hmmmm..?
No, I remember when the original came out my friends and I all ran to see it because they hyped it up as true. We were freaked out by the movie....until the credits started rolling

NO it wasn't. It's already been said that it wasn't a true event and it never happened. Look it up on the net. I've seen were it has said it was just a joke.
It was a true ';MOVIE'; project.The actors were amatures and the stunts were all preformed by those same actors.
